Physically. Meaning the issues of global warming, of pollution and of our planets apparent unrest (the increasingly violent and common hurricanes, tsunamis, etc). Why or why not, and would you or do you take an active role in trying to preserve our planet?

Yes I do! And, in our home, we try to do things that will help the environment, like recycling, reusing, buying second hand, not wasting paper/electricity/water.

I need to buy a new car soon, and I hope to be able to take into consideration environmental concerns when I do (that is, I sure hope I can afford a hybrid!)

We also are concerned (probably more so) with the people that live on this planet. That's why, in our house, we buy fair trade products whenever possible, and support local businesses.

Good question!

I actually work on my school's yearbook. I (and a few others) wanted to create a page with the issue of global warming. But of course, everyone's too ignorant to care and it was denied. I think more people should actually pay attention to these kinds of things because we could destroy so much more for our kid's kids and so on (as if we haven't already ruined so much). But I think the natural disasters would be fine since they're natural, it's just that there are so many deadly man-made things that can actually cause the most damage. For example, a building is what can actually kill you during an earthquake. There are exceptions, though. Overall, more restrictions wouldn't be a good people choice and not doing anything at all would just ruin it. We would have to wait for more people to realize this situation to understand the reasoning some people have to save this planet.

We should all take some sort of active roll in preserving our resources and reducing pollution because we have profound effects on the ecosystem, which has a profound effect on the lives of both future humans and animals. Everything we take from the planet now will have a larger physical pricetag on it later on.

Everyone should have those very long lasting light bulbs
Plant heaps of trees or lobby for governments to save the trees
Walk when you can or use public transport mainly
Find out if that seeding of the clouds to make it rain has a bad effect on the environment as I don't know but they use a chemical that is supposed to be harmless but putting it in the atmosphere constantly may be bad I think
the planet is very important to last forever whether we are here or not
Australia has caused heaps of damage in a short time
our rivers are sick & millions of trees have been cut down in 200 years & that is bad & sad!!

Yes, I do care about the current status of our planet. I'm not sure I believe this global warming business though.
We only own ONE car. Hubby takes the bus to and from work. We recycle everything that we can.

Don't care any more - let the younger generation who throw all their junk out of car windows worry about the problem that they are contributing to.
