Ok, I had the Treo 600 with Palm OS system and was able to transfer to my PPC 6700 with Windows .

First you get the disc out of the Treo 700 and download it as it sets up your hotsync and also you should get an outlook desktop icon also , as this Treo 700 is using windows.

Now you probably have to RELOAD the hotsync for the Treo 650. But this time you will click the box that says if you have outlook. Under the old desktop I think it was a different format and this way you get it directly to your outlook. So if you had both phones you could actually synch with the same source OUTLOOK.

Anyway, once you get your Treo 650 with outlook downloaded and synched. You go to the Treo 700wx and hot synch again. This time it will synch up with the stuff that is in the outlook from the Treo 650.

Now when I connected my PPC 6700 to the computer a hotsynch window opens up. I went to the to the top and there pressed options and it gives a list of what I want to synch up with. I had forgot to press the contact item. When I did , i resynched and good to go.

FYI, I just finished doing it now. I had to go to the store and get another brand new phone. The window would not respond to the tap no more. Also, if you got insurance and it is within 30 days, or 90 I am not sure, but they gave me a new phone with box and all accessories AGAIN. About $70 of accessories for free. Anyway, I had to resynch the phone again so when I saw your question I just did it again real quick. Hope this helps.

interior the bottom of your exhibit screen there's a hotsync proper click on it and think about the log and it is going to inform you what's happening consisting of your device. then visit the palm information superhighway website and search for for the restore. it might in simple terms be a patch you should deploy on your pc if its not if in case you've the incorrect hotsync version or the incorrect cables.
