Oh yes. In fact, I asked this very question myself (worded differently) because I have had a life-long issue with laughing at inappropriate times. I can only speculate that it must be some sort of nervous reaction based on the fact that I can remember breaking into this ridiculous, broad grin when the neighbor's beloved dog got hit by a car (I really loved that dog, Snoopy - it lived) - and I count that as laughing. Everyone else was either very serious or crying and there I was like Bozo the Clown. Another time, it started to come on at my Grandmother's funeral. Yep, and I was mortified. I didn't actually laugh, but again with the big Bozo grin. Not proud of it, but can't control it, either.
I also suffer from the more mainstream variety of this affliction, e.g., laughing when everyone is being very serious at a business meeting, giggling at things that I find perversely funny that no one else does. It's a true affliction.

Yes, and it's totally natural...people do it to relieve stress when things are nervous or uncomfortable. For example, when my Brother's casket was in the entryway of the Catholic Church the service was held in, and the Priest was praying, my Niece and I looked at each other and started the most hysterical cracking up belly laughter...something I've never done before, or since.
Just try to be more modest than I was!

Yeah like the time at the movies when I was watching Titanic (the part where people are dying)..
Or the time I was in class and there was nothing funny going on but I just started laughing.

wow. i might want to be mendacity precise next my granny if i might want to laughed at her funeral, my relatives is like the mafia. however, the most memorable time the position I laughed and it changed into irrelevant changed into at my Orientation for the period of my senior 12 months in intense college. My significant changed into wearing a gold muscle blouse...he turned right into a very tremendous guy so seeing him in a muscle blouse changed into basically blah...even worse between the seniors yelled out "Mr. Parks nipples are demanding" and everybody on the orientation all started giggling because it changed into real. i could not stop giggling and remained giggling 2 minutes after everybody else changed into silent and that i finished up getting reprimanded with information from the numerous at the same time as my ideal chum tried his ideal to stop me from giggling. I had not in any respect laughed that demanding earlier.

Well I do have a weird sense of humor, but I would not laugh if everyone was crying, but I DO laugh at stuff others take to serious. My sense of humor even amuses me!

Yeah - especially when I am drunk. Like last night I was in this guy's car and I saw a photo of this other guy I knew, and I didn't realise he was his little kid brother. I exclaimed out loud "That brat!" And couldn't stop laughing for about 5 minutes. It was really embarassing. He definitiely thinks I am strange I think.
