Well im assuming a tachograph is a tachometer, and as in speed, im assuming you mean rpms.
So if the tach is shut off, how do you know if your over reving your engine.
Well, by sound. if you know your car, you can hear the difference in rpms.
#2. If your no longer getting much power to the wheels as you accelerate, then you need to shift into a different gear, because you are redlining.
