Please please seek the advice of your doctor regarding my advice::
black cohosh and blue cohosh are herbal tonics that aid in keeping menstrual cycles regular.
If your body is going through any sort of dramatic change or stress this could be why your period is not regular... or you could be completely normal by not having a normal 28-32 day cycle, there are some women who do have it every several months and lead normal lives... the only time it became an issue was when trying to get pregnant (or trying NOT to get pregnant)...
I hope this helps. Before taking these do take a pregnancy test as it could cause serious problems to a pregnancy.
they can be found at any health food store.
* you could also ask to go on the pill (for the purpose of regulating your periods), which could jumpstart your cycle and help to keep it regular... depending on the pill and your reaction.

Are you very active? Many women have experienced this problem when they work out hard.
What did your doctor say? If you aren't satisfied with the answer, then see another doctor. There could be a problem. My gyno told me I couldn't be starting menopause at 38 because I was too young. I think she was in denial because we are the same age. She even said the bloodwork said I wasn't. But by 43 my periods stopped completely. (Off the point - I have been a smoker for years and some studies suggest that smoking causes early menopause because smoking destroys your eggs.) You don't mention your age or if you have had other menopausal symptoms. You could have a cyst or some other condition. Get a second opinion.

Well if you had a birth control shot it might have stopped your periods and that is something you should be enjoying. If you didn't have a shot then you should have seen a doctor months ago.

You might have friboids or you may have a condition where your cycle is irregular. You need to be tested for these types of illnesses . Yor DR might have to put you on birth control to regulate your cycle.

You should see your doctor. Do you have thyroid problems? because if you do, that could be the cause. Women with abnormal thyroids tend to skip their periods. If you don't know whether you have a thyroid problem ask your doctor to check it.

Are you eating well?
Is your body weight normal?
Are your stress levels normal?
These are the first things I would think about.
