he was plummeting to the earth without a parachute at a very high speed.. you do the math... lol

Which is good I thought, because they didn't try to come up with a deus ex machina ending to save his life. If they did, then all the effort to keep going long enough to get his revenge before he died would be pointless if there was a way out all along.
