i remember my sister and my cousins and I used to read the Goosebumps ones. sometimes we would read them out loud and debate on which way to go in the story.
one time one of my cousins and my sister and i where reading one and in the middle of the story we heard thunder, so we looked outside and it was really cloudy and dark, and we where thinking that we shouldn't read any more of it because it would be to creepy. but we read on anyway, even though it thundered a few time during the story. but what was werid is that it never rained and as soon as we finished the story the coulds cleared up and it was sunny again.
the same thing happened to me a few years later when i was with my family and we where watching "Sleepy Hollow" it started to get stormy with no rain as the movie went on, then when it started to get going into the climax of the movie the sorm got worse, when it got really bad (still no rain) my mom decided that we shoudl turn it off. so we did, for about 20 minutes. then i decided to watch the rest of it. then when it was over the storm just cleard itself up. it was sooooo weird!! :)

I loved those books! But I don't know if they still produce them. They gained popularity in the 70s (according to my mom who was in High School then and also enjoyed reading them).
