Sorry, I'm not interested in I-Pods, so please don't suggest it unless you explain why.

I'm looking for an MP3 Player with just a USB port (optional but try not to have any extra software), 30GBs and price range anywhere from $0-$200 (somewhere around $150 seems nice). I'm prepared to go above or below that price, but I just wanted some suggestions, thanks~

Be prepared to either wait a few years for prices to go down, or buy used. Every 30GB player on the market costs at least $250 new. Also, only really small (~2GB or less) flash players come with a USB plug built in. All larger players with hard-drives, and some flash-based players, use proprietary sync/charge cables (though these all plug into USB ports, just not a direct connection between the player and the USB port).

Software is a bit flexible (I bought a cheap 2GB project-player because I could more easily afford to have it stolen than a real iPod, and it shows up as a simple USB flash drive, but it has no playlist/sorting capabilities), though I really would suggest getting one that has the ability to pull playlist info either from iTunes or Windows Media Player if you really do plan to use more than 1-2GB of capacity. Unless you really enjoy having no control over what specific songs you listen to, that is. Of course, at the 30GB range, I don't think you really have a choice on that end.

CD gamers i'm not waiting for an ipod or mp3 participant yet... in keeping with possibility whilst i'm 40 in the event that they are not previous by utilising then (i'm 29). I easily have had my digicam for 3 years and there remains probable a set of stuff i don't comprehend the thank you to do with it yet. Texting, making telephone calls, and shooting is surprisingly plenty all i will do with my cellular telephone. i don't want to pass with the aid of all of the worry of downloading songs just to hearken to them each time everywhere with out the skipping or scratching.

An Ipod Because it has better quality than all the other mp3's like the zune and the creative zen, it is a better brand, it has greater features and it is more famous.

okay, i strongly urge you to get an iPod for more than one reason. they are fairly easy to operate, have plenty of extra features, last longer, and are easier to carry around. i don't know any mp3 players with 30GB that cost less than $200, though.

All MP3 players are basically the same. It's just the user interface that's different, pick one that you think looks nice...
