I'm no doctor. Yes you can Vicodin is one of the lowest forms of hydrocodone U can get except 4 a 5.500 lortab. Xanax is more addictive than any of the other benzos. Everyone's pain tolerance is different. If you can feel the effect of your pain pill you have a low tolerance. Xanax You will feel 4 sure. You would be better off taking Valium. Same thing less addictive. Did the same doctor write both scripts? If the Xanax is a.5 or lower I think U will be fine. If its a 2mg xanax U need 2 be real careful. 4 sure don't drink with em.

When I was being perscribed pain meds which were norco 10mg (same as VICs but larger. Now I had a good tolerance of these and took xanax for the first time with only one norco. Xanax is very strong I guarantee if you took two mgs you should NOT be able to hold your eyes open. Now vicodin potenates xanax. When I left work I nodded and got scared I only had two blocks to go so I rolled down the window and said that WONT happen again within one minute it happend. Message here is it is very over whelming so be careful start with small amounts until you know your tolerance.

For questions like that it is always proper to call your pharmacist. They will tell you whether those drugs interact with each other well. Otherwise , call your doctor. I am assuming that the Xanax is something you routinely take and the Vicodin has just been added for some pain relief for some acute new problem? Check with Pharm and doctor...then you can't go wrong. Be careful of taking just anyone's opinion...everyone is different...what I could do would not be what you could tolerate, due pain threshold and medication tolerance.

Ask your doctor. He or she knows your medical background. Does your doctor know your taking them together?
Did he know you were taking one when he prescribed the other?
Oh wait, your taking them recreationally?
From experience, Xanax when used recreationally combined with other drugs or with alcohol, is blackout inducing. It's dangerous and foolish to abuse this drug. It's been known to be used as a date rape drug. Either way it will definitely impair your judgement. The stories I've heard of people I've known who liked this drug were frightening.

What kind of a druggie are you? If you take vicodin, there's a very good chance that you will not feel the effects of anything else!
Try this: Take a vicodin, and one hour later, have your husband, child, mother...someone you trust, have them punch you in the stomach. I'm willing to bet that you won't care. It's amazing stuff.

Yes i have, but ask your Dr. to be on the safe side.
Also get a pill box with the recommended amount of pills to take daily, so you don't accidentally forget if you took or didn't take the recommended amount.
Better to be safe!
Maybe have a family member keep track.

Let's pretend you're questioning your doctor's knowledge of pain relief and are looking for a second opinion OK?Mine actually prescribes mine and I'm not dead yet.
PS: stick with the hydrocodone,it's the oxycodone that will get you.

You need to check with your own Dr., if in fact you have one. They are both powerful narcotics. Be cafeful.
