To me, he's always been extremely handsome, certainly not "odd" looking or "unconventionally" good looking. Many people who are considered really attractive are the ones who look odd or downright ugly to me.
And remember, he is now almost 47 yrs. old. Not that that's really old, but people can't expect him to look as he did in Pretty In Pink or Stargate anymore.

He was the sexiest thing ever in White Palace. Hardly looks like the same guy on Boston Legal, but I still think he's smokin hot. It's his eyes and his attitude, pervy but sexy.

I'm only 22, and I think James Spader is quite the hottie. I think alot of his attractiveness is his personality tho. There's just something about that man I can't resist.

I agree he isnt odd looking like everyone else he has his ups and downs and he is older now and has more downs but in his prime he was very good looking i would watch tough turf right now if it was on he looked super hot in that movie and even better in less then zero
