Better yet...

You can test the power supply....

1. Unplug the ATX Connector from your Motherboard
2. Use a paper clip to jumper between green and black wire. (PS Fan should spin up) You can't get shocked...
3. Use your volt meter to test ing voltages on the ATX Connector with the jumper in place. Follow the link below for a diagram. This will tell you what voltage reading you should get. There is a tolerance of + /- 5%.
4. If your power supply checks out, suspect your motherboard.

Power supply may be overheating. Check to see if the fan is running in the powersupply. Might have something in it or full of dust.

you may be aswull to buy a new power supply as they are very cheap nowadays. I just priced a few new ones the other day, just£14 for a 350w one or £18.50 for a 500w one
