it affects the boiling water as it is considered to be adding impurities to the water, therfore making it nt boiled. As distilled water boils at 100 degree, salt water may boil at 105 degree. therfore resulting the distill water from being boiled

salt is a chemical compound and when boiled with water (H2O) it undergoes a chemical reaction, and ions, complex ions which cause these changes
Na+, Cl-, H+, OH- are the ions, compunds like NaOH, HCl are formes etc,

NaCl + H2O ------------------- NaOH + HCl
