You have had a rough row to hoe that is for sure. That you survived the brain tumor is a miracle in and of itself. My daughter survived one 8 years ago. It left her with the mentality of a 14 year old (she was 30 then). But she is alive, and is making of her life, the best she can. She too takes many meds and will the rest of her life. Life...is what you make of it. Living itself is good...what is the other alternative? Medical problems do crop up for you and millions of other people...doctor appointments?...tell me about it. They are a fact of life. They keep you healthy and able to work and enjoy your life. Try not to look on all of that as bad things...but things that make you able to get up in the morning, enjoy the sunshine of a great day, watching a football game, going out with your friends, reading a good book, eating a great dinner in a great restaurant watching puppies play. Life is good my friend...treat the doctor appts. and meds as a means to the end... you're alive!

I had a brain tumour when I was 6 years old and then again when I was 8. My pituitary was removed. I take synthyroid, DDAVP, and Estrogen. I gained weight after my surgery. I take DDAVP for the rest of my life -- I need it with me at all times or else I will keep going to the bathroom and will be dehydrated. I go to Endocrine appointments, eye appointments, MRI appointments, appointments with my brain surgeon -- each around every 3 months. You're not the only one.

Your life is good if you feel you are living a life that is true to what you think is important. If you are wishing you had a job but worry about your health and social security benefits, maybe you would like to volunteer somewhere like at the humane society, church, library, or nursing home or hospital. This would give you sense of contributing to society and give your day some structure. But you are feeling too sick, take it easy. Do what makes you feel happiest. I know of someone with a disabilty who works 10 hours a week and still gets social security benefits. I don't know if you have already looked into how much you can work without losing your benefits. The person I know has a low-paying job, but she gets out of the house and can socialize and feel a sense of belonging at work.

You sure have reason to be tired of it, but you can be an encouragement to others, and that makes life worthwhile. Also remember, God created us all equal! Not equal physically and emotionally, but equal in that he loves us all the same! There are some Psalms that really lift my spirits when I'm discouraged. Can't hurt to give them a try.

It's always darkest before the sunrise. Things will turn around, you just have to be patient & see. I know that it seems life isn't any better, but it will be some day. Then you'll know what your purpose is & all that you're worth. Not only to god, but others as well.

Sure. As good as any.
You need to eat right and sleep well and save up your energy for going to college and becoming a great leader. Stop wasting your time and energy wondering if you should exist and get to work.
