Yes, indeed fluctuates between 0 and 100.... life is so complex, dynamic, inconsistent and uncertain that even at a certain point in time, the evaluation oscillates between one extreme and the other.

A 92-year-old, petite, well-poised and proud man, who is fully dressed each morning by eight o'clock, with his hair fashionably
combed and shaved perfectly, even though he is legally blind, moved to a nursing home today.
His wife of 70 years recently passed away, making the move necessary. After many hours of waiting patiently in the lobby of the nursing home, he smiled sweetly when told his room was ready.
As he maneuvered his walker to the elevator, I provided a visual
description of his tiny room, including the eyelet sheets that had
been hung on his window. "I love it," he stated with the enthusiasm of an eight-year-old having just been presented with a new puppy.
"Mr. Jones, you haven't seen the room; just wait."
"That doesn't have anything to do with it," he replied.
"Happiness is something you decide on ahead of time. Whether I like my room or not doesn't depend on how the furniture is arranged .. it's how I arrange my mind. I already decided to love it. "It's a decision I make every morning when I wake up. I have a choice; I can spend the day in bed recounting the difficulty I have with the parts of my body that no longer work, or get out of bed and be thankful for the ones that do.
Each day is a gift, and as long as my eyes open, I'll focus on the new day and all the happy memories I've stored away. Just for this time in my life.
Old age is like a bank account. You withdraw from what you've put in. So, my advice to you would be to deposit a lot of happiness in the Bank account of memories!
I am still depositing."
Remember the five simple rules to be happy:
1. Free your heart from hatred.
2. Free your mind from worries.
3. Live simply.
4. Give more.
5. Expect less.

Hard to say ...
Downside:
*My wife of 13 yrs. left me and the kids last April.
*The kids left last October.
*TOTAL dog-poop.
Upside:
*Two motorcycles, and the weather to commute everyday to work on them.
*Exploring a new martial art (Fudokan Karate) after30 yrs. of practicing other types/styles.
*Cool job teaching P.E. (after 18 yrs. of successful classroom teaching, this is also turning out to be a total BLAST).
*Exploring membership in my church (after attending regularly for almost 14 years!).
*My daughter's feral kitten has turned into a truly loving, really cool cat.
*I've discovered Yahoo! Answers, and met some really cool people here.
I guess my life is about an 80+, because I have let my Faith to allow me to enjoy, cherish, and praise what I have been blessed with; while giving me the patience and strength to deal with the dog poop which the world had dealt me.
Peace.

I give my current life a 88. I'm 28 years old, and married to my best friend. I don't have a degree of any kind but I'm working on it. I have the perfect job for me.
In a couple of years my husband and I will be jumping into parenthood, and that will probably top it off!

I think I'm almost 99,09 happy because I believe that happiness can be felt by satisfaction and content! It's all about you ( your subconscious mind) even you want to be happy or not regardless of all difficulties and problems you face in life and how to deal with positively.
I'm so happy of being me!

finally I am working, so that makes me happy to a 60 percent. one theorist stated, "to be able to work and to be able to love" are the 2 basic qualities of an adult. i work so 60% is covered, and now here is where the rest of the 40% goes. i liked a girl, and i somehow still love that girl madly...truly and deeply. there is something in her eyes that makes me want to loose myself in time. i wish i have this 40% unfilled for life. i am better off longing for her presence and her touch.

2 out of 100 because at least I am healthy and have the bare essentials. Everything else about my life sucks.
