Want to stop what? If a transsexual doesn't want to continue their transition, they don't have to. In fact, in order to get hormones prescribed and an okay for sex reassignment surgery, you have to meet with a gender counselor for quite a long time, and believe me, if you have any mixed feelings, they'll ferret them out and probably deny you as a candidate.

If you're talking about 'conversion' therapy the way there is for gays and lesbians, well, I'm sure it's out there by extremist groups. However, gender dysphoria or gender identity disorder is considered a true medical condition, unlike homosexuality, which was removed as a disease a long time ago. Since it's seen as a true disease, the way to fix the mind-body dissonance is to change the body; that is the treatment.

Hope that helps.

essentially, the way to stop being transsexual would be to stop taking female hormones (if you are a male to female).

if the person actually went all the way and got gender reassignment, then i don't think there is any way to reverse that.

if the issue is transgender, well by definition a transgender is someone rejects societial views of the gender they were assigned, is someone who identifies with the opposite gender, and is someone who feels uncomfortable in the sexual role of their assigned gender (ie a man not comfortable having vaginal sex).

so essentially, gender opinions are based on opinions and values we make based on the nurturing we receive in life and based on the views we form while experiencing life.

i personally believe that values and morals are core feelings and that they are very difficult, and in most cases, impossible to change..

i consider myself a transgender and i honestly don't think there is anyway anybody could change my mind into agreeing with and accepting the gender role of a male.

if i wanted to stop or change my values, then i would.. however, chances are, i wouldn't have ever formed these values in the first place.

Who want to stop what? Being human? Who want to stop feeling like they were born into the wrong gender? Who want the hatred, intolerance and ignorance to stop?

Maybe you should know what you're asking before posting questions.

Thanks for playing!

There is, it's called psychotherapy.

Any behavior can usually be changed, some people just need help to do so. Normally though if you can't stop, deep down you don't want to. You can either accept the way you are or fight it. your choice. Acceptance is usually healthier though.

There is treatment for transsexuals who want to stop, but can't. The bible being the mirror will teach you all that you need to know as far as sexuality goes. Being gay is a sin and a choice that one chose to make. It is the direct trick of the adversary and it derives from the pit of hell. You must repent for your sins and renew your mind with the word of God, and he will cleanse you from all impurities. God knows who you are, but he wants you to be freed by your own willingness and not force. God is all knowing and he wants to help those that want his help. You can start by asking God for forgiveness and look up lust in the back of the Bible and study on it. May God bless you always. I will make mention of you in my prayers.

Because the only thing wrong is that the person can't accept who they are.
