If you nailed a nail into a tree 10 feet above the ground and the tree grew 2 feet every year for 10 years, how far will the nail be above the ground?

The nail will still be 10 feet above the ground. Trees aren't like humans--they don't grow proportionately, they just grow up. So, it's not like a person, where their head is always at the top of their body, it expands upward.

10 feet, but you might have a hard time finding it after another 20 rings have formed around and over it. Be on the safe side and don't drive it all the way in!
