To be more precise: I'm seventeen and looking for an afterschool/weekend job. I've crossed retail out of my options...so what does that leave me with?
Also, I'd love to hear from other teens who work. No matter where.

Since retail is crossed out, that eliminates a good chunk of popular teenage job choices. So wat's left hunh? It seems that you'd be more inclined to do a job of choice/ interest. So look for something that could serve as a stepping stone to you in ur long term career goal. Or chose something else of interest. Can't think of anything in particular? Then start w/ sparse random volunteer work in various job types till you narrow down wat you like to do. Good luck.

You have posted your question in a wrong section.... philosophy believes no one is ever without a job.... even thinking is work of a kind!!

But I am no philosopher..... I think most teenagers are doing service.. either in McDonald's or Coffee shops or the like posh outlets where they can be neatly dressed up, even though in uniform and be mostly with their own age-group and school education is all that is called for!!

McDonald's. I did it, and there is nothing wrong with it. A wise person once said, "Be on someone's payroll."
