Long story short - Is it true that you can only register one iPod per Computer?? So that if I eg. have an iPod Nano, and my friend also has one - but my friend would like to get some of my songs, then we won't be able to plug his into my iTunes and transfer the songs? - The reason being that only MY iPod can be plugged into MY computer - and nobody else's?

Or, if I have an iPod Shuffle, but I get an iPod Nano - then I won't be able to plug it into my computer, because I already have the iPod Shuffle regsitered?

Thank you veyr much for your help.... !!

Your friend can download them from iTunes, or burn them from their CD. Copying yours would be stealing.

Generally speaking, there is no reason why you can't have multiple iPods synced to one computer (every iPod has a unique serial number that your iTunes software can use to distinguish one iPod from another). However, you will have problems if you try to sync one iPod to multiple computers. This means that if your friend wants to sync his/her iPod to your computer, they will need to stick with _just_ your computer, or be prepared to deal with some frustrating problems (such as you can't add new songs from a second computer without losing everything that was loaded from the first computer).

No, you can have more then one iPod registered to a computer.

And if you check the iTunes licensing, you can play the iTunes music on multiple PCs/iPods. I think a limit of 5.

my brother and i go back and forth with our ipods and computers with new music to download. we haven't had a problem. but maybe it's because most of our music so far is from our extensive CD collection, not from iTunes itself.
