I am a librarian and in case you haven't been to a library lately, there are many really hot looking librarians around.
where did this stereotype come from and why can't people believe that librarians could be hot women who like sex and are not ALL genius bookworms who dress ugly and live alone with their cats?

I like librarians. Smart people who can read and like to help people and can deal with all sorts of people. Smart is sexy. Our local branch has 3 very sexy ones.

Hi, I always go to the library. I go there with my kid 3 days a week. I pick out books as well..Librarians are dressed casual. There are young interns there too. I see one male librarian there and he is hot. I have been going to the library since as long as I can remember, around my son's age at 5. I don't know why people think Librarians should be ugly, smart, bookworms, dressing like old ladies, with cats.

I remember my perception of librarians came from my school librarian... she was at least 60, gray haired, and seemed to be horribly cranky all the time.
However, when I went into my local library last week I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of young spunky librarians on the staff.
It seems with the ever increasing changes to the technologies that libraries now have on hand, the more youth orientated services they offer, the more appealing they have become for younger people to work in them.

This comes from old movies and books. It's just silly. Hey my daughter wants to be a librarian and she is very smart and very beautiful!!! But she is a bookworm, and the reason we spend three days a week there.

Well, at my library, there are a lot of granny librarians, so this mite b a little hard...
Well, it mite be becuz old ladies have nothing to do, and they love books so they work in libraries, but hot women spend time doing other things. That's just my theory.

people dont always assume it, its just the first thing that pops in their head because it's what media has presented. only someone juvenile would assume librarians are like that. notice how its only seen on tv? i dont know why it started, but someone obviously started it themselves.
