First, you need to sign up with an Internet Service Provider (ISP), like Earthlink (probably one of the better dial-up providers as far as having the most dial-in access points across the country).

If you already have an ISP, then you need some way of connecting your laptop to a phone line. I'm not sure if your laptop has a modem jack built in (the manual that I found for your laptop indicates that it's an optional modem jack), but it would be on the right hand side of the laptop. If so, then all you need to do is plug a phone line into it, and get the access phone number from your ISP.

If there's no built-in modem, then there are three options for your particular laptop:
1) USB modems (probably most common now)
2) Serial external modems
3) PCMCIA modems (a card that slides into the slot on the left hand side of the laptop)

As far as a USB modem goes, Frys has one for about $38:

For serial modems, Frys also has one for $45:

And for a PCMCIA modem, Frys has one for $55:

(note: you may find a better price elsewhere; I'm just using the above as examples, and I have no connection with Frys whatsoever). The instructions included with each device should tell you how to connect each one. USB will probably be easiest, but you have to take into account whether you want to tie up your lone USB port (unless you also get an external USB hub to expand the number of USB ports you have available).

you are able to connect stressed out or on the spot. to connect on the spot you want a router or bum off a pals if there is isn't secured. to apply a router go by technique of a linksys or belkin and it comes with a cd telling you procedures to set it up. to flow the stressed out way in simple terms use the cord interior the again of the modem into your pc. yet i see you've a operating laptop or computer so i does not do this because your computer will then not have information superhighway. So i ought to go the router way which will provide your computer information superhighway and also you've got on the spot from the router or stressed out from the router by technique of plugging a cord into the again of the router and into your pc.
