If your Hunter is a male - how about Vinceres.
If your Hunter is a female - how about Hecate. (This name is from mythology/witchcraft for "Goddess of the Underworld" (which your Hunter is actually going into when hunting for Vampires, in the darkness).

A good female name...hmm...for a Vampire Hunter...something Romanian maybe. Or something made up. I made up a name for one of my Vampire characters. I call her Sevaethi (pronounced how it is spelled, the 'ae' is pronounced like 'ay' though). I kinda like it, it just kinda came to meh one day. You can use it if you'd like. If not, eh-oh well. Another good name would be, in my opinion, Marian. Long 'a'...the first one. ^.^

Dang! I was going to say Hecate as well, and someone else did... well, here's two for that name then... Goddess of the Hunt, Goddess of the Moon... I'd say perfect... especially since I hate vampires and I admire Hecate so very much... Warning though... The Goddess Hecate was not too fond of the Male.
