If you ever watch tag-team wrestling of yester-year you noticed the tag-partner who wasnt in the ring was holding the tag rope. But today the tag matches dont have this tag rope what happened to it? Has anybody else notice this?

Its still there... sometimes you'll see the tag team partner on the outside use it to choke his opponent when he gets caugh t in the corner. then his partner on the inside distracts the ref.
In a recent match Dx was tagging against someone and Triple H was in trouble. Shawn was trying to reach HHH for a tag but the ref made sure that Shawn was legally in the corner with the tag rope in his hand. Unfortunately this made Shawn just a few inches shy of the tag.. so to compensate Shawn loosened up the tag rope and slid it down the ring ropes towards the center where he made a very impressive long distance tag. hehehhe... too funny.

The rope is always there. You'll see a lot of the older wrestlers ALWAYS use it on tag matches.
On the other hand, a lot of the new guys don't use the ropes in tag matches.

no i havent noticed that they dont do that any more maybe they think its stylish not 2
