If I remember what I've seen in archive vide, Cal gets the punt down by one touchdown. The runner gets to the end zone but crashes through all of the Stanford band. Was the game over before he got to the end zone, or did they count that touchdown?

And, by the way, is it possible that somebody remembers its actual date?

Actually it was not on a punt return, but rather a kick-off. John Elway was the Stanford QB at the time and the date was November 20, 1982. The kick-off was a squib kick and the kick was lateraled 7 times. The return actually started around the Cal 35 yard line and the touchdown was scored by a guy named Kevin Moen. If you want to see the play by play call of that play, just go to the website below or type in 1982 Stanford Cal game and it'll bring up plenty of sites, including a youtube video of the play.

Well after seeing the highlights of the game, it was counted as a touchdown causing Cal to come back and win the game I believe.

I SAW that game live on TV.

Yes, the touchdown was good, it was in time.

I don't remember the actual date, but I'd say it was sometime in the mid- to late 1970's, if that's any help to you.

The only band member that really got hit was one trombone player pretty much got plastered. They interviewed that guy on ESPN or something about 10 years ago.

purple Floyd. Rick Wright placed out 2 solo albums and is operating on a 0.33. Syd Barrett placed out 5. Gilmour did 3 and is operating on yet another. Waters has 6 or perhaps Nick Mason has 2 and wrote a e book. at the same time as all of them did not go away, they did go on to have separate solo careers. edit: hi there sarah

The result, if at all possible, is that it became even less cool to be in a marching band.
