I rarely, rarely ever remember my dreams. But for the past 3 weeks I have been having nightmares and such vivid dreams that I am literally losing rest, because my sleep is so interupted by nightmares. I'm exhausted, i just want to sleep without dreaming about people being murdered, being possessed by satan and other horribly unsettling dreams. why is this happening and what can i do? i miss not remembering my dreams

Write them down in full detail no matter how horrible they might be. Then check out this site www.dreammoods.com look up key words and think about it. You might be surprised to find that all those nightmares mean the same thing. Then once you figure out the meaning it might help you move on and not need to remember them anymore. I hope that helps and good luck!

Could be change of diet, stress, worries; lots of things could trigger nightmares. But if you feel it may be something deeper, perhaps you could check out a Dream Dictionary at your local library. Sometimes dreams don't mean exactly what they seem. The Subconscious mind is a scary thing sometimes. But hopefully you could figure out what the source of the problem is and solve it, so you could rest peacefully again.

I would ask you what you think the dreams mean. If the dreams are portents of doom, what do you think you need to do to avoid an eternity of damnation? If the dreams are just something that has been ruining your sleep for the past month, did something in your nigthtime routine change?

You could check to see if you have changed your diet, your toothpaste flavor (you could be tasting something new and it's messing with your mind), if you're leaving the television or radio on, or if you've been watching movies or playing video games (especially the violent, gotta-kill-the-demons variety). You may also want to examine whether or not some sort of stress that you haven't come to terms with has suddenly become a part of your life.

If, however, you believe your dreams are intended to direct you away from possession by satan, what will you do to avoid this?

I strongly believe God speaks to us in our dreams. I believe HE does this because during sleep we are in our most relaxed state, and most susceptible to HIS promptings. If you are a person of faith, my advice is to simply ask God what is going on, and to do it in the name of His son, our Savior, Jesus Christ. God wants to reveal himself to us in an effort to get us to turn away from our sins.

Seeking and asking God to tell you why these dreams are occuring or what they mean does have a downside. Should God reveal himself and tell you what each dream means, you are then accountable for acting in accord to HIS plan for you in understanding the meaning of these dreams.

It is my opinion that you should not seek an answer here, but seek that the answer is revealed to you, in God's will and in God's time.

Believe it or not, dreams are actually thoughts that are deep in your conscience that you've may have recenty thought about but don't remember. If you do remember thinking these things, there may be a disturbance in your life that is triggering these thoughts. Meditate on it for a while.

sometimes dreams occur because you are bothered by your concience or just plain tired with everything around you,ans it is also some form of an alarm to your spiritual being that there is something that you need to do in life that you must seek out and accomplice

Nightmares may have several causes, including drugs, medication, illness, trauma or they may have no related cause and be spontaneous. Often they occur when there is stress in one's waking life, and when major life changes are occuring.

I think an unresolved problem in your life that you need to confront head on and solve is telling you to resolve the issue. Hope that answers your question. Good luck.
