The NFL want the "Cinderella Story", "America's Team", New Orleans Saints to go as far as they can. The Philadelphia Eagles played the better football game, and were robbed by the refs. On 4th and 10, the Eagles sucessfully converted, but it was called back on a false start penalty that was not there. Every other false penalty I have ever seen blows the play dead, but this one did not. Many other penalties kept earlier Saints drives alive, including a bogus illegal contact penalty that changed a 2nd and 30 to a 1st and 10. All the NFL wants is for the feel-good story to go all the way, so they rigged the game. The Philadelphia Eagles deserve to be moving on, and would have without these bogus penalties!!! The NFL is RIGGED!!!!!

There was a playback of the penalty and the backup offensive lineman clearly moved early. No person, commentators included, argued the call because it was very obvious. I will admit that I am a Saints fan, but I like games to be called fair and just. There are always going to be calls in a game that may not be exactly the right call, but in a live game situation, those calls, or no calls, are sometimes missed. Are all of the bad calls in other games rigged too? Is there a conspiracy inside the NFL like I have read in other forums so that the Saints can win the Super Bowl? I think not! When is it going to become apparent to people that the Saints are more than a 'Story'. I quit listening to that a long time ago. They have the leading offense in the Leauge and a defense that was ranked 11. It is sad when a fan cant take their lumps and move on. I will be upset if the Saints lose next week, but you certainly wont hear me making up stories as to why. There were many times that the Eagles could have turned the game into their favor but did not. I suppose those were all rigged also? If you are going to claim something this outrageous, you might out to have some proof to back it up. As it is, you make yourself sound like a sniffling baby that got their doll taken away.

3rd and 1... Eagles fail to convert, but I think I saw a ref stick his foot out and trip Westbrook to stop him from picking up the first down.
Under four minutes to go Bush fumbles the pitch and the Eagles get the ball, but did anyone see that ref spray Garcia with that can of mace causing him to miss the next three passes.

This is ridiculous, as a Saints fan I know it seems strange. But we did actually win a playoff game. There were 6 penalties called against the Eagles, I've seen more penalties called in a single quarter before. The Eagles had plenty of chances, and did not execute. Saints win Eagles lose end of story.

Sounds like you are a disgruntled Eagle fan, or a Seahawk fan already trying to line up the bad zebra defense like last year. I really didn't care about the outcome of the game, and thought it was fairly called. The false start was not a phantom call, nor was the illegal contact. The tackle moved, and the linebacker hit a receiver starting to come across the middle about 8-10 yards from the line of scrimmage. Both are valid calls. Garcia could not get a good rhythm going all night - he got a couple of good throws in, but he was rushed and hurried a lot. He went 15-30, and if not for Stallworths 75 yard catch, would have only had about 160 yds passing. With the exception of Stallworth's catch, Westbrook was the offense. Sorry dude, better luck next year.

1000 percent correct. A false start automatically ends the play and the refs are supposed to blow the whistle immediately. They just thought they'd wait to see if the Eagles would miss the pass anyway, so that they wouldn't have to cheat them out of the first down & when that didn't happen--on to plan B-- call a "penalty" on someone. What garbage. If Andy Reid won't speak out, the mayor of Philly ought to weigh in 'cause his town got totally shafted. ....and by the way, the same thing happened in the first meeting between N.O and Philly. Bogus, biased calls left and right in favor of New Orleans because of Katrina.

I do find some things very odd in the NFL. 9/11 occurs and the team who wins the superbowl is the Patriots. First superbowl winners after the war in Iraq begins are the Patriots. Now after the Saints return to NO they are doing this well. I don't think it's rigged though, Saints are a better team and deserved to win that game.

Oh shut your mouth the refs did not blow that game you just need to stop sucking on them sour grapes... they lost ... its over ... OH how about the last play of the 1st half, the saints threw it into the endzonef and Colston caught it and came down with it HE HAD BOTH FEET DOWN IN THE ENDZONE!!!! and the half just ended because the ball came rolling out after Marques hit the ground one of the eagles defenders stripped it but that was after Colston should of scored

What about the Touchdown pass at the end of the first half that Colston had control of the ball but didn't get it? And if you watch the play the flag was thrown but they couldn't hear the wistle cause of the crowd. find a replay and watch it. And if case you didn't actually watch the whole game the Saints did get penalties called on them. If you're going to complain make sure you actually paid attention.

GO PATS!!!

Actually, first of all, "America's Team," as you call the Saints, is actually the Cowboys. And that false start call was actually there. If you flinch, that is considered a false start. And it wasn't like it wasn't completely unnoticeable. And next, the illegal contact call on the Eagles was a 2nd and 20. You got that piece of information wrong. The Saints won fair and square. And I believe the loud fans were a huge factor in the victory too. And in case you're wondering, no, I'm not a Saints or Eagles fan. GO NINERS!
