Decent restaurants in Bakersfield, CA??

I have been in this city for three years and I am sick of fast food & Apple bees! What are some fave's? I live in the southwest and don't own a car.

bakersfield inn and tavern is nice

There are no decent restaraunts in Bakersfield. About the best you can do is Denny's or Applebees.
