For instance, I am in front of the mirror and I can see a huge zit on my nose. Am I seeing from 2 feet or does the reflection travel back to me so that I can see therefore, making it 4 feet? Does this make sense?

4 feet. There is an easy way to test this and see for yourself. Place a 1 ft ruler in front of a mirror, you will see that the ruler is reflected front to back with the same distance. (The total doing this would be 2, since only a 1 ft ruler).

Your reflection would appear to be two feet behind the mirror, and yes, the light travels about 4 feet total

If you are standing 2 feet in front of a mirror, your image will appear to be 2 feet behind the surface of the mirror. But this is not a real image, no light energy is passing through it is a virtual image. The image on a movie screen is a real image, light energy is passing through it.

If the mirror is a plane (flat) your image will appear as deep inside the apparent space observed "in" the mirror as you are standing away from the mirror. Stand 2 feet away and your image in the mirror will appear 4 feet away from you.

well, I see where you are going, but no .... it does not travel back to you ... you have sight that can see for some distance .. but the objects don't come back to you. Same with a mirror ..the mirror duplicates the image but it doesnt travel back to you.
