logic is strong and violent would meet ther end in in-fighing and struggles for power.History is cited as evidence.

that's perhaps a sort of promise that is destined to eventually come about. the meek are promised the earth as a sort of reward for their deeds. it is through that humility that they realize their purpose and the good that must be done. by applying such revelations, they act on behalf of what is good. it may not be in the present time but they eventually are given the power by the fact that they possess morality and take heed of justice. it is ideally through their acts that they gain respect and "stay in power". well, as their meekness remains, they would not necessarily be controlled by the power that they attain....just a thought/opinion.

When the world is ready to be inherited by the meek, I don't think "power" will be necessary.

The scripture merely tells us who will inherit what. It doesn't deal much with the particulars.
