For a couple of years, I lived on Park Lane, a mile or so east of Park Lane Station. It's not the greatest area, but I never had any problem with crime. My next-door neighbor had her dog stolen, though.

I used to walk from Park Lane Station to my apartment late at night, and nobody ever bothered me.

That was more than five years ago. I doubt it's changed much.

Parts of that area east of N. Central are going to be really torn up as the city backs private redevelopment.

Park lane crosses in and out of good and bad areas.

If it is the Park Lane area:

East of central: Bad, bad, bad neighborhood. I lived there and it is SCARY BAD, dangerous and crime is stunningly bad.

West of central / east of Midway - Very, very nice area.

West of Midway: so-so area. some nice pockets, some bad pockets/
