Yeah I guess you just described what I'm going through. I'm really sick of the whole temporary friend routine if that's what people are into.

I'm done now, but a lot of times I felt that way when I was in college. A lot of the time I felt like they were spoiled, obnoxious, freeloading off of wealthy parents, slackers, whiners, and irresponsible. But then I was probably a bit too uptight and nonsocial at the same time. Best of luck to you! Feel free to messenger me on yahoo. I'm

It sounds like you've had some frustration with not being interested in what people have to say. Did you have friends at home who didn't have drama? Was there anyone that you never felt this with? If so, try to find someone similar. If you want to make friends, "socializing" is the only way to pick through the 'prima donnas' and find the actually cool people you want to spend time with. Try joining a club or student organization. "And I am not a psyhcologist and I do not get paid to listen to other people's problems. I have too many of my own to even begin worrying about other people's little personal dilemas and insecurities." This sounds like you're having a tough time with your own life right now, so you can't really picture having the time to be a good friend right now. Maybe you just need to put yourself first for a while until you feel like you have the time to listen to someone else and be a friend. If you don't really feel like making friends with anyone, then maybe being 'in a bad mood for the past half-year or so' is a sign of a bigger problem. If it's interfering with your daily life, you could always talk to someone about it. You college may offer free counseling or psychological services, where someone can help you figure out why you've felt this way for so long.

I Hate College Students

2016-11-08 04:53:16 · answer #4 · answered by petrin 4 · 0 0

YES I DO!! But then again I am in a phase where I just hate the world. I think they call it depression. I just feel that most anyone of them can talk about is parties, getting wasted and finding excuses to get laid! There some serious kids who work hard to get ahead but they're @$$holes in thier own ways. I don't really socialize with anyone at college. Yea I talk to people sitting around me and have study buddy for almost each class but that's all. I haven't been able to make a 'good friend' at college. I don't know if its depression or if I just really don't feel comfortable around these people who 'do what everyone else is doing'...you knnow wanna-bes. Anyway...what's the deal with you....you don't like college kids for a particular reason?? Share some more with us if you can! :)

Yes, I thought all the teenage drama would end with high school. I was so, so wrong.

Like I said to another person a few days ago, "No, I don't feel like 'socializing.' Why would I want to hear the same old stories and the same old lies? I don't care who's been in bed with who nor do I care what that guy makes in his computer science class. I don't need to know when and where the parties are going to be because I don't go to them. And I am not a psyhcologist and I do not get paid to listen to other people's problems. I have too many of my own to even begin worrying about other people's little personal dilemas and insecurities."

Maybe I've just been in a bad mood for the past half-year or so but it really bugs me.

Are you in college but you hate college kids?

I pretty much kept to myself when I was in college, because I wasn't there to socialize, and my goal was to just do well and graduate. I went to a school with a Greek system so I was surrounded by it, but I was mature enough to handle it, and it didn't bother me like it did when I was in junior high and high school.

However, because I didn't socialize or party, I did meet people who were serious like me, and instead of developing superficial friendships, these people became my lifelong friends.

Nah. There are a wide enough variety of people in college that you can always find someone to identify with.

Well, maybe not in the Top Ten...

Lighten up, stop complaining about other people, and have an open mind... I guarantee you will be happier this way.
