Just remember that at the end of the day, almost everyone wants the same things: good food and drink, someplace nice to live, appropriate clothing for the climate, something meaningful to do, and often, someone with whom to share it. And usually, if we're helping each other along and not harming each other, we get along. As long as you can pursue whatever makes you happy without forcibly interfering with someone else's pursuit, you should be able to get along with others just fine.
