I think that if your best friend is in love with you....you will feel the "change" in the relationship from her/him. I am not sure if your friend is of the opposite sex from you. I am assuming that they are the opposite sex.

Actually my best friend used to be in love with me but it didnt work out so now we're just friends which we make better friends.
