Definitely a pencil. With a pencil, you can erase neatly, but with a pen, if you mess up, you have to cross it out. It looks extremely messy.

I very much prefer pen. I don't like the feel of the pencil writing on paper. It's a little strange, I think.

Now this is only my opinion, but I find a pen easier to write with. It seems to glide on the paper vs with a pencil it seems to scratch and rub it's way into writing.

I like the feel of a pencil better. (wooden pencils) I like to draw that's why.
Theoretically erasable pens would be the ideal writing instrument

A pen because i don't have to sharpen it but a pencil is good if you make a mistake.
