I gotta agree with you man Best Lebron- best and my favorite current player (MJ all time)
Worst-Bogut-more like Andrew Bogus. He sucks.

I think most people can agree that Lebron is the best #1 pick but to say that Bogut is the worst is the most ridiculous thing I've heard. He just posted 24 boards the other night not to mention that he's steadily improving. While I think that Joe Smith was a bust at the number one spot he still wasn't the worst, the worst #1 of all time was Michael Olawakandi. The guy was only in it for the money and has been riding that #1 pick for every contract he's signed. Now, he can barely find floor time on one of the worst teams in the NBA with top players that are injured (Boston Celtics). Bogut is actually a very good player, and will only get better with time.

I'd definitely have to go with Andrea Barganin was a worse pick than Bogut. At least Bogut was good in college. And he's actually doing very well this year. Barganin on the other hand is garbage. He didn't even start on his team in Italy. Maybe he'll develop into a great role player some day but there were better picks out there for number one overall. The NBA has fallen in love with these over seas players and ever team is out looking for the next Dirk or Pedja or Ginobli. But neither of these two picks even compare with the waste of height size and a 1st round pick named Kwame Brown.
Best were Lebron, Patrick Ewing, and Allen Iverson.

lebron is the best 1st pick

Bogut wasnt the worst..
Kwame has more talent than.. Bargnani
maybe like.. compared to other selections the 2005.. one of the worst
but bogut is an upcoming star
quote me on that

Bargnani is the worst so far.
but who knows? he might be good after a few years

In recent history:

BEST: LeBron James
WORST: Joe Smith

Some of yall have no clue about basketball. Andrew Bogut isn't that bad at all. He can put up numbers sometimes while other first picks rarely do that.

Best Is Lew Alcinder (Kareem) most points ever! how can you argue with that.
Worst Is a tie between Joe smith and olowakandi
Let it be know bowie was not a first overall selection he was a number 2. How can anyone suggest barganani yet only one year into his career
