I'm assuming you'll be taking I-40 most of the way.
These are either on your route or a short side trip away:
In my own home state of AZ: Grand Canyon Nat'l. Park & Petrified Forest Nat'l. Park
Oklahoma City, OK : Nat'l. Cowboy Hall of Fame - if you're into that sort of thing.
Memphis, TN: Graceland - Elvis' famous estate.
These are just a few. No doubt someone could recommend others.
