They engaged in physical activity...talked on the phone...visited friends...wrote letters...so many things that we do not do much of today.

The internet is good in some ways, but it has really cut down on physical contact between people. It's a lot easier to sit in front of a computer screen and type than it is to pick up a phone, write a letter, go for a drive or go for a walk.

I kind of miss the pre-internet world.
