They engaged in physical activity...talked on the phone...visited friends...wrote letters...so many things that we do not do much of today.
The internet is good in some ways, but it has really cut down on physical contact between people. It's a lot easier to sit in front of a computer screen and type than it is to pick up a phone, write a letter, go for a drive or go for a walk.
I kind of miss the pre-internet world.

pondering all of it, i'm way too based on the internet! i've got messed with the router for hours sometimes... whilst the particularly situation exchange into merely something I KNEW I had to sit down out. whilst i exchange into into the Halo on line element... if the internet went down i might exchange right into a lost soul (to not point out very temperamental). those days all I do is choose and greater suitable evaluate identifying to purchase an iPod touch.

Read. Listen to the radio. Do real things outside in the fresh air. Things like that.
