I'm having a hard time find a free web page for my painting business. I'm tolly new at the computer and not sure of what I'm doing. I don't want to get stuck paying for something I can't afford right now. Thanks!

The best answer I can give you is you can't. Every free web service out there has a catch, usually ads, poor customer service, bandwidth limitations, and security holes. To run a business site, you're going to need to pay for a good service, it's worth the investment.

if you go with freewebs you will have a domain name like www.freewebs.com/yourbuisnessname
if you go to http://www.123-reg.co.uk/ you can buy a domain name for a few £. (by domain name i mean like www.yourbuisness.com)
then you need to get it hosted (where the website will actually be- on what servers) www.streamline.net are doing a 3 month free trail and after that are about £30 a year. you can download software to design your site dreamweaver is the best and there is a 30 day free trial. i'll do you a simple website for a small fee

Angelfire.com is free. I have had a site with them for about ten years now. You may even try Myspace. Not sure if they have policies against putting up a business web site or not.

I'd suggest that you start with a blog. Go to http://Blogger.com , it's owned by google and you can choose a style, post photos of your
work and perhaps give some tips for amateur painters...a reason for people to visit your site.
In addition to this, you'll need a domain name. I'd recommend that you use http://Godaddy.com , you can search for and buy a domain for about $8 and the forward it to your blog (if you call godaddy they'll tell you how, ...it's easy)
Good Luck
