to citizens of a country.
The more places I travel to i feel more of a sense of belonging to much much more than just these 50 states. I like everywhere I go equally. they all have something different to offere than the others.

The United States citzens are all citizens of the world, and we are in fact, made up of citizens from all over the world. It is by specifically seeking out the way of life that we have here in America and they become citizens, that makes them America and makes us the melting pot.

I think it's frowned upon by intelligent people all over the world for someone to think of themselves as a citizen of the world as opposed to a citizen of a country.

You should rephrase your question to Is it frowned upon by Americans, or anybody, not Republicans. I'm sure that people of all political parties have different views and opinions. As for me, a Republican, I don't frown upon that at all. I've been around the world twice and I'm about to go again.

No, that is a definite Republican thought; being a citizen of the world. That is why it seems they are more concerned with foreign affairs over domestic affairs, when in fact they think of both in the same light.

I checked the Republican Party platform & that's not mentioned. You can define yourself as a citizen of a city, state, country, planet, solar system or galaxy as far as I'm concerned. I think of myself as an American.

I travel too. And I've noticed that other countries of the world have immigration laws of their own. I'll support an "open borders policy" when the rest of the world does.

I dont care for the rest of the world. Why leave my "mansion" of a country for the "ghetto" of the rest. I've been to Europe. Its ok, but it stinks. Mexico does too, but the dirt roads and all that, blah blah

You are very lucky to be able to experience world travels. Visiting other countries helps one learn to accept other cultures as well as appreciate one's own.

I am Republican and don't really see why it is included in your question.

Traveling is good. Perhaps you'll find somewhere that fits your needs more than the good ol' USA.
One can only hope.

You can think whatever you want - that's the beauty of America.

Have a nice night.
