He says the nerve is pinched on the left side. I do not know what the problem is I can deal with the back ache but I can not stand the ache in my leg it is constant. What if any exercises will relieve this. I asked my doc if I would still be able to ride my horse he said he doesn't see why not I have DDD from L1 to L5S1, with multiple buldges. At one point I could not walk for three days and my biggest fear is that will injure and never walk again. Doc say NO RESTRICTIONS released to full duty. Is that because it is comp should I persue a second opinion or do you guys think he is being real?

Absolutely- he is giving you a diagnosis that is in the best interest of the Company you work for- not for YOU. Get your MRI/s cat scans of your back, DO NOT RIDE YOUR HORSES OR ANY STRENUOUS ACTIVITIES UNTIL YOU SEE ANOTHER ORTHOPEDIC SPECIALIST-- bulging discs is a serious problem and numbness in your leg is even worse--- Get an appointment as soon as possible- go through your family doctor to find one- and go to the biggest medical center you have in your area to be seen. If at all possible, DO NOT go back to work until you have this second opinion-- you may injure yourself even more.

Best of luck to you.... at the very least, you need intense physical therapy along with limited restrictions of work and off work duties.

Get a second opinion for sure! If the first doctor's professional opinion is right, at least you're mind will be eased by the second opinion, but if the first doctor is wrong, not only can they give you additional options to alleviate the pain but also prevent any long term trauma!

Unfortunately, nerve problems are difficult to find an almost impossible to fix. You should see another doctor just in case, however. I would also advise you go to a chiropractor; often the adjustments will help problems such as these.

By all means seek a second opinon sis! Find a doc who will see you as a real patient and not as a comp patient.
