Back when we dating, me and my husband had a situation where he act like he didn't want to break ties with this particular girl that had been in his life a long time. (10 years). Whenever I would get upset when she called, he would just say, don't worry about her I'm not going to marry her and she has nothing to do with me and his relationship. Was he saying basically that she was going to always be around for whatever reason, but he wasn't leaving me for her or what?

What does "just" trying to pacify you mean? Was he trying to reassure you? Of course. Was he lying to you? Well, there is no way for a reader here to be able to tell you that with any certainty. The point is, he was saying that he was not interested in a committed, married relationship with the woman. His statement that she has nothing to do with your relationship also strongly implies that either he is not interested in her romantically, or else he is certain he will not act on the romantic feelings he has. Whether or not this is acceptable is up to you. However, since you married him AFTER he said this to you, you are implicitly stating that you do accept his point of view.

Personally he needs to stop talking to this chick! If you are the WIFE! why is he still talking to an ex! hello! I would be beyond myself is anger if that were my husband talking to an ex-gf! do you hear me, you have got to stop this, you two need to sit down and TALK about this situation and tell him exactly how you feel and tell what if the shoe were on the other foot, how would he like it if one your ex-bf's called you.

HE needs to stop the relationship with her tomake you happy and relaxe. If he doesn't he doesn't care about how you feel and that this is hurting you.

Why don't you ask HIM what he meant. He would be the one to know.
