Sirloin steak. That would be a dream! Oh and fettuccini alfredo. If you would like some good ideas for a buffet, I would suggest you making a trip to Foxwoods Resort Casino in Connecticut. They have a great buffet restaurant there with an enormous selection of food. You'll get a lot of good ideas from there.

Personally I do not like eating at buffets, to many people handling the food and serving utensils. I have seen little kids running around picking and playing around with the food, and I really believe that the quality of food is not the greatest. I would rather go to a resteraunt that is maybe serving all you can eat specials.

what kind of buffet are you planning on? A chinese buffer, an homestyle buffet? an Italian buffet? It's tough to say, but I always like to see fried chicken, egg rolls, and some decent soups, esp. in the winter time. Also, it doesnt seem like what kind of buffet it is, or where it's located, it always has pizza and french fries. Probably for the kids..
Good luck on your buffet.

Well the best buffet I ever went to, was set up with different themed stations, and then had tons of desserts. The "American" station had mashed potatoes, prime rib, turkey, etc. . .VERY good. Then they had a seafood station, soup/salad, mexican, BBQ and Italian. I think there was also a station with "special of the day" which was like whatever they made just once, like different around the world cuisine. Plus, lots of desserts is always necessary!

I would like to see some quality ice cream, such as the ones in stores, not the big bucket ones. And good deserts.
How about steak such as the people make in sushi bars or those Japanese grills?

This may seem general, but how about little tidbits from around the world? It might seem that I ask are a lot, but these are suggestions.

That's all I want as of now.
Thank you

Lables on the food would be great. Also, I know it takes more staff, but have people serving the food, or at least watching the people going thru the lines and making sure they are not fingering foods or testing the sneeze guard. I have seen all too many parents allow their children to handle the food (and unfortunately adults too) then put it back for someone else to eat.

I like to find down home cooking. . . .like stuff mom used to make that takes time to bake and cook.

Everyone always has the canned vegies and the mac and cheese and the pasta salads but sometimes I come across a good wild rice hotdish or some sort of dish that is unique. Like a cheesy pasta type dish. . . .I like comfort foods.

Labels! I am vegetarian, and I hate loading my plate with something that looks like a nice pasta salad and then finding chicken or shrimp in it!

Good desserts.

Good salad - not just iceberg and styrofoam tomatoes.

Yummy mashed potatoes.
