Some just like seeing a pretty face. In the world we live in today, it seems like all you need to be famous is a pretty face. People also enjoy seeing celebrities fail. It gives them something to relate to, and make them feel better about themselves, seeing that even the beautiful people are far from perfect.

unfortunately, for a long long time now, the entertainment industry has just pushed ppl that are marketable, as opposed to talented. its sad, but its how the market works in that respect.
for every great singer songwriter/ or great band, there are numerous atrocities to endure.
basically, for every 1 group like the Beatles, there will be 10 nsync's and 14 Britney Spears to deal with. too bad.... lol.

I have no idea, but I guess it comes to person preference. Although I personally can't stand Lindsay Lohan, my little sister thinks she is the best thing in the world.
