I honestly don't mean any disrespect here, but do you have ANY idea what it's like, living with wolves around? I know kids who have been chased home from bus stops. When I was in high school, it got so bad in one neighborhood that parents worked it out so that no child had to walk or wait outside for the bus. Wolves also eat the family pet -usually right in your backyard. That's always a treat for the kids.

Did you know that wolves are one of the only animals who kill just for the "fun" of it? Have you ever seen a wolf kill? I know a lot of hunters and trappers, and most of them have told me that the first time they saw a wolf kill, they almost puked. Since these guys have no problem with blood and guts, that's saying something.

Animal rights groups are really just American terrorist groups, and I don't use the word lightly. A local trapper got a wolf last year that a bunch of animal rights fanatics felt was THEIR personal property. They posted this man's phone number on their web site, with the words, "feel free to call him at home and tell him what you think." In tthe EXACT SAME post, they admitted that they had harassed this man and his family for YEARS. Why? Because they don't approve of his lifestyle. Guess what? A lot of us rural folks don't approve of city life at all!

Anyway, things got so bad, I insisted the FBI be called in. The State Troopers are involved, of course, and so is the FAA, due to a biostitute (a "biologist" who sells his "facts" to the highest bidder) flying way too low - not only to harass this trapper, but to try and "chase" the wolves back into their 6 million acre park. That's illegal, by the way, but hey...they're above the law.

This particular AR group approached the state, wanting to know the frequency of the radio collars used on wolves. The state refused, so they went around the state and bought the frequencies from the manufacturer. Now, they can harass anyone who LEGALLY takes a wolf. That is BS.

Finally, if you do not live in a state that is affected by the wolves, trust me - the locals there do NOT want your "help".

I really do appreciate your sentiment - they ARE pretty animals. But they are also a serious menace to those of us who have to live with them. Please have some respect for our lifestyles.

Have a nice evening.

Hey, Iguana girl - BRING IT. People like you really piss me off - ignorant, low-rent response. Here's some facts for you. I'll type slowly, so you can follow along.

Fur is not only warm, it's a renewable resource that does NOT pollute the environment. Can you say the same about these high-tech fabrics?

As well as the polar bears. Do you know they've resorted to cannibalism because we've killed off their food supply and global warming has melted much of the ice they need to live on? Wolves have always been killed senslessly. Why is it in modern times people do not understand that to kill off one species affects the entire chain? It's like people refuse to admit they're just a link in the chain. All life has pupose and meaning, but "modern people" and I use that term loosely, cannot seem to understand that. Suddenly, everybody is concerned about global warming. Hello, where have you all been the last 40 years? Do you realize 40 years ago the average American family had a half a bag of garbage (in a paper bag no less) a week? Not only are we killing off the wolves, we're killing their environment to the point where now they too come into the outskirts of cities to eat people's garbage. They're running out of natural food sources.
