yes...or a coping mechanism of sorts, I believe...or a ruse. We have some sense of control over certain aspects of life, but in a day, an hour, a minute....your entire life can tip over on it's head. I think we all like to feel we have some sense of control....but I think it is illusory. Good question, Benny.

Yes, for the most part. Mother Nature illustrates how control is an illusion: Katrina, Sunami, Tornadoes, Wildfires. Many people lost everything they worked their whole lives for in such disasters.
