A Trojan is a seperate type of malware that is used to download and install other form of malware on your computer.

Think of the Trojan Horse in the story Helen of Troy. A huge wooden horse was offered as a gift to Troy. Inside the Trojan Horse was soldiers. When the horse was pulled inside the city gates, the soldiers waited inside. The waited until all the cities residents was asleep and then exited the Trojan Horse and attacked the city.

The malware version of the Trojan Horse does the same as above except with other malware like Worms, adware, spyware, homepage/browser hijackers and more.

The best way to remove a Trojan and the associated malware is to use a program that concetrates on removing Trojans. ewido is the best general Trojan remover available. You can either run an online scan and removal or download it. ewido is free. The download program is a full function version for a 30 day trial. After 30 days it reverts to an on demand scanner that requires you do manually update it. The online scan link is on the top left side of the page.

A trojan virus allow another person to take over your pc from another location. If your anti-virus scanner can't remove this virus, you need to use another one. Download this free anti-virus here http://www.free-av.com But don't install it yet. Uninstall your current scanner, reboot pc, install the Avira antivirus you've just download, and run the full system scan to remove the slide Trojan.

damn thats not good.

depends on what specific virus it is, but most trojans (either from malware or downloaded):
-displays a message
-makes your internet slower
-downloads (possibly malicious) files
-terminates processes
-cripples your system's defense routines (internet security)
-and lets someone control your computer

A trojan is usually disguised as something harmless, but once you let it in your system... =[

The damage potential can be severe to moderate
