yes it can b prepaid.. VERY expensive if u buy it form a t-mobile store as it being prepaid cause u pay retail since you arent signing a agreement with them.. and the other person typed everything else

When you have a Sidekick 3 for a prepaid phone through T-mobile service you will need to buy a refill card either $10, $25, $50 or $100 to activate it. Plus if you want to use the web, email, instant message or text messaging it will cost you $1.00 a day for unlimited usage on your sidekick. All calls made or receive will be charged .15 cents a minute.
As you can see the cost can be expensive if you use the wireless web each day on your sidekick on top of making phone calls.

find out more info on the sidekick and also order a new unlocked sidekick 3 from this site http://doiop.com/sidekicks by entering email (unloked phones can work on any service!!!!)
if u enter email without ordering u get a free ringtone
