I am referring to the year in pharmacy school the student is essentially just doing rotations and not having class. Is it about half the pay of a pharmacist or more?

You don't get paid, you pay to work (tuition). For the student, it's worse than being free labor.

Outside of rotations, at Walgreens, in the Chicago area, you'll get paid $19 per hour.
You will not get paid for you rotations.
