Yes. I am not sure if it was a dream or I was awake, but I had this feeling of fear, and couldn't move or talk or anything.

the first time it happened it was absolutely terrifying. i thought i was dying. my heart started to beat really fast, my face grew hot, i couldn't move a muscle and i had trouble breathing.

one day i looked something up online and found out that what i was experiencing was, in fact, sleep paralysis, though i had never heard of it before. it was such a relief finding out that this happens to many other people and that it isn't harmful.

i think my attacks most often occur during naps in comparison to nighttime. usually it's been a week where i haven't slept much or my sleep has been in little chunks rather than the full 8 hours at once.

luckily i figured it out (in the beginning, thank god) that if i use enough willpower i can eventually break myself out of it. i usually try to get myself to move my toes and that generally will end it. but i get another attack soon after, it averages at about 3 each time.

the weird part is that in between attacks, i have intense narcolepsy-like symptoms. as much as i try to get myself up, my eyes can't stay open and i can barely move, even if i don't want to sleep anymore. maybe this is another part of the paralysis.

no aliens or visits by demons though... and for that i am THANKFUL!!!

Well, I don't know whether i was sleeping or awake but I couldn't move a muscle or speak for about oh I don't know coulda been an eternity or 5 min but it was ssssarrrrryyyy. It happened another time but this time not only couldn't I move but there were about a thousand million voices all talking at once and i grew more and more terrified as the voices grew louder and louder until finally I was released and everything went back to normal...except my stress level.

not somewhat like the way you defined. i have had the ocassional dream the position, at the same time as i tried to stroll, i might want to easily truly flow. It changed into as if i changed into attempting to stroll hostile to very heavy wind. i do not remember feeling something heavy on the chest. i understand often times at the same time as i'm drained, basically laying on my decrease back, in mattress, the room will slowly develop into darker, and commonly it type of sounds like i'm seeing gadgets look out of the walls, foating around the room above me. i have extraordinarily a lot discounted it although, and believe it is somewhat basically my students relaxing and closing down, in preparation for sleep. there have been the ocassional aims the position something undesirable is occurring or about to take position, i favor to leap and get out of how or yell for help, yet am "frozen" with concern. In those certain aims, it is truly a warfare, it takes some skill to "destroy loose" from it and awaken, yet so a concepts, I continually have.

Yes, only in the afternoon if I lay down. I can't move my body, even though I know I need to get up. Sometimes it can take 20 minutes before I am finally able to start moving. It's awful!
