So here is a crazy story about my blind date. I was at my grandparents house, mowing their lawn on my grandpa's riding lawn mower. As I was parking in their garage he yelled to me, "It's not a car, it's a battering ram! This is what Patton drove: 'Hey you, soldier! Follow us!" He shouted at a squirrel that ran out of the garage as I drove in. Then after I cleaned up, I was running late and my Grandmother asked me, "Is Ace short for...Ace-a-ronney?" I said, "No grandma, it's just a nickname the guys at school gave me, " as I was straightening up some pictures on her mantle. "Put...the..candle...back!" Grandpa shouted as he came in. Grandma, yelled to him, "YOU BETTER KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT!" Then whispered to me, "oh I think I love him" then quickly snapped back at grandpa as he continued mumbling, "You are talking about the nonsensical ravings of a lunatic mind!" Anyway, like I said I was running late so when I showed up at the restaurant my date had already eaten. When I sat down, I said, "You just made a yummy sound, so I thought you liked the dessert." She laughed and said, "Dessert? No I haven't had my dessert yet, I just sat down (she was late too) the Yummy sound I made was because you just walked up!" So we are gonna go on another date soon. I was thinking about introducing her to my grandparents, what do you think?

Okay well I'll give this a try but John P did a good job. Okay here's my stab at it.

My friend fixed me up with a blind date. All she would tell me is that the minute I saw him, I'd recognize him. She arranged for us to meet at one of the local Denver hang outs. I was sitting there at a table in the corner of the room when in walks Ace Young of American Idol fame. I about hit the floor. He came over to my table. All I could do is stare at him. I'm like yeah she said I'd recoginize you but I didn't think it would be like this.
He picked up the candle to move it so that we could sit together and get cozy but the waiter came by and told him to Put... the candle....back! We had set it over on the next table but that wasn't allowed. I finally asked him so is Ace short for... Ace-a-roony? I could not believe that that came out of my mouth. To cover my stupidness I said "You are talking bout the monsensical ravings of a lunatic mind!" With that he started laughing. That made me so happy to see. Okay I didn't totally ruin it with him I kept saying to myself You better keep your mouth shut. Oh. I think I love him.
We sat and talked, had a few drinks, ordered dinner and desert. I made a moaning sound when I bit into my chocolate mousse and he said to me "You just made a yummy sound, so I thought you liked the dessert." I told him that "No this wasn't dessert that would come later" He laughed and blushed.
We went outside and we climbed into my Hummer and he's like man it's not a car, it's a battering ram. This is what Patton drove, "Hey you, soldier! Follow us!" He started laughing and we drove away off into the night in my Hummer 3.
