Eyeshadow is supposed to accentuate your eye color, so you should use browns, violet/purple, light/med greys. The same with eyeliner. Try to stay away from greens and very dark shades, as it will not bring out the color in your eyes--it will be too overpowering and make your eyes look smaller and the color flat.

Browns, purples, pinks and gold shimmery shadow look good. I have hazel eyes and I can wear some greens but blues look horrible. I use a violet liner and black mascara. Stay away from blues-ghastly. Your clothes can coordinate or compliment your eye shadows for a more refined look so that's something to consider when selecting your shadow.

I agree with the above response. I would suggest going to Clinique or another make-up station in one of the department stores near you and ask for a free make over. I use Clinique personally and they have make up artists that can tell you what colors will go best with your features completely. Remember it is not just your eyes you want to think about when picking your eye shadow...it is everything else too! Good luck!!

About colors, the bests are deep green and the contrary color or green, in this case, red, but u have to learn how to use them according to your eyes shape, if your eyes are together, very far one from other, if they are big, or too little, find it out in this link http://www.beautysensation.com/repsdazzledust.htm. Also, if your eyes are little, don't use dark colors and dark lines, that will make look them littler, instead of that use mascara but BEFORE (after only damages your eyelashes) mascara curl your eyelashes, and with the links tips you will look like a real hottie!!!

I have hazel green eyes that change to blue/grey depending on my mood. I find that browns and earth tones go very well with my eyes.

i really wouldnt recomend matching it to what your wearing. its more about your eye color that determins what looks good on you. i agree with all the pepole that said some shade of brown. i go for more of a tan-brwon color. it defines my eyes and makes them look pretty. anywhere from tan -a brown color looks really good. and accually for some fum dab a lil green on the outer corners of your eyes but dont make it noticable. it makes your green eyes stand out more :]

Oh, the color of eyes doesn't matter. I think that the makeup you put on reflects your personality. Trust your own eyes, put what ever makeup you want to on. That's what makes you unique!

I agree you need to take into account what you are wearing, but browns, gold's, and purple really complement brown eyes.
